The Space Astronomy Summer Program (SASP) at the Space Telescope Science Institute (STScI) employs college students to work individually with researchers and staff on projects including data reduction, software development, instrument calibration, scientific writing, and public outreach. Participants engage in hands-on projects, attend lectures, and are matched with a mentor.
