The Simons Summer Research Program matches high school juniors with Stony Brook faculty mentors to join active research groups and assume responsibility for a project. Students gain hands-on research experience, attend weekly faculty talks, and conclude the program by producing a written research abstract and research poster, culminating in a closing poster symposium where they receive a stipend award.
