The Summer High School Apprenticeship Research Program (SHARP!) is an 11-month, research-intensive program immersing high school students in contemporary biomedical investigation at the interface of AI, robotics, and tissue engineering. It features a six-week summer laboratory research experience at UIC followed by a mentored academic-year research and professional development component, a community service element, and participation in the annual Biomed Breakthrough Challenge.
