R Programming & Machine Learning Camp (UMich)

This advanced computational biology research camp introduces high school and exceptional 8th-grade students to R programming and machine learning using real cancer patient data from The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA). Students learn statistical methods, analyze microRNA expression data to identify cancer biomarkers, and develop their own research projects with the support of teaching assistants.
