The POETS Young Scholars Research Program offers high school students an authentic STEM research experience at UIUC under the mentorship of faculty and graduate students. Part of the Worldwide Youth in Science and Engineering (WYSE) initiative, scholars focus on electrical engineering, computer engineering, mechanical engineering, and materials science applications such as power optimization, electro-thermal systems, and energy grid efficiency.
